Mazomanie’s small size and slow growth has preserved its nineteenth century character. The village has 34 commercial buildings on the National Register of Historic Places. Best known among these is the Mazomanie Railroad Depot which has, with minor changes, remained as it was when it was built in 1857.
Mazomanie is located along the Wisconsin River in northwestern Dane County, Wisconsin. The Town is about 30 miles west of the state capitol, Madison
